JP Enterprises has been working with Kennametal since 2006. It didn’t take long for JP to be recognized as an extension of Kennametal’s internal Marketing Communications department—handling the project management, project scheduling, editing, writing, catalog production, graphic design, brand continuity, print management, file archiving, and photography while globally maintaining strict production deadlines. Though we produce over 40,000 catalog pages per year, we keep up with Kennametal’s demand for brochures, flyers, postcards, internal documents, event and press materials, ads, posters, banners, and much more.

All catalogs are produced using a proprietary content management system (CMS) called STEP. JP’s work with STEP includes building the “product modules” for the catalogs, making updates and revisions, and exporting finished modules onto catalog pages. This CMS also feeds the data to Kennametal’s eCommerce website. JP works closely with the Kennametal team to maintain the data integrity of the various and vast, highly technical product lines.

JP also handles the localization process for the catalogs and other select collateral, which includes exporting modules from STEP as XML files, initiating quoting, working directly with international translation companies to arrange resources and deadlines, coordinating review schedules with Kennametal’s global internal resources, ensuring translation memory adherence, and managing the printing in both Europe and Asia.
